Best products for problem skin: ‘Acne prone’ Aussie behind …

[ad_1]

The young founder of a multi-million dollar beauty brand has shared dramatic photos of her skin transformation to show exactly how her products have helped fade dark spots and acne scars.

Priscilla Hajiantoni was just 26 when she used money saved for a house deposit to realise her skincare dreams and launched Bangn Body in the Australian market in March 2019.

Now 30, the Forbes rich lister from Melbourne has opened up about how her early skin woes led to the creation of a natural ingredient-led business targeting eczema, cellulite, acne and dry skin.

“All the years of saving every cent towards buying a house was put into an idea to create a product I truly needed for my acne and eczema prone skin,” she told 7Life.

Long before her success, Priscilla had struggled for years with acne and eczema – but nothing seemed to work on her troublesome skin.

“I was unable to find skincare that worked for me. I was using far too many products. So I decided to make my own,” she explains.

“As a consumer, I was finding it overwhelming with how many products needed to be used to achieve healthy skin.

“This helped me when creating the business as I knew it could be simplified.

“I knew this could be something others were looking for too.”

“I realised that less is more,” she says.

“My purpose, my ‘why’, for starting the business came from having experienced hormonal acne and eczema in my teens and 20s.

“I felt first hand the defeat of trying skincare that didn’t work and building up hope that was soon lost.

“I wanted to create a brand that would become a part of people’s lifestyle that simplifies not complicates, and provides people the support they need on their skin journey, as everyone’s skin is different.”

Her first product – and arguably still the brand’s most popular – was the $48 Firming Lotion, a face and body moisturiser.

Rich in shea butter, pineapple fruit oil and green coffee bean extract from Byron Bay, the Face and Body Firming Lotion replaces dead skin cells, rebuilds elasticity to tighten loose, sagging skin and achieve firmer skin and works to renew skin cells, leaving you with a smooth, supple skin and glowing complexion.

There are thousands of five-star reviews for the product, which contains a mix of potent oils like jojoba, sunflower and avocado.

The Firming Lotion – dubbed a ‘yellow tube of goodness’ – now sells every two minutes around the world.

“We have now sold over 500,000 yellow tubes globally since launch four years ago,” Priscilla said.

“There have been so many ‘pinch yourself’ moments. When I launched Bangn Body I didn’t know where the business would go – we launched as an e-commerce brand and one product.”

Earlier this year, Bangn Body landed a retail partnership with Sephora in store and online in preparation for global expansion.

“It’s another moment I could have never dreamed of,” she says.

“It is all thanks to our incredible community and, for that, I am very thankful.”
