November 10, 2022 – thredUP, one of the largest online resale platforms, has launched the thredUP x Zero Waste Daniel Full Circle Collection, an upcycled holiday collection made entirely of secondhand clothes. The company partnered with The Nanny star and style icon Fran Drescher to bring the trash-to-treasure collection to life for the ultimate fashion throwback.

thredUP tasked sustainable fashion designer Zero Waste Daniel with creating a limited collection filled with affordable, eco-friendly, and one-of-a-kind pieces inspired by Fran Drescher’s signature style. The collection offers giftable items– from pet beds and bowls, to scarves, bucket hats, and scrunchies — starting at $10. Among the giftable categories, thredUP is selling an exclusive selection of Nanny-inspired looks that were custom made for Fran.

thredUP will donate 20% of proceeds from the Full Circle Collection to Fran’s charity, Cancer Schmancer.

thredUP and Zero Waste Daniel’s shared ethos of fighting fashion waste resulted in a collection that utilized every clothing scrap, so that nothing went to waste.

Zero Waste Daniel created all 1,000 pieces in NYC, using approximately 2,000 lbs of textiles that could not otherwise be resold.

For Home:

For a limited time, thredUP is expanding into home goods as part of the Full Circle Collection.

The Bowl: Small Bowl: $25; Large Bowl: $35: Made from the seams and hems of deconstructed denim garments, the small bowl can house small home items like keys and electronics. The large bowl makes for a great dining room table centerpiece.

The Napkin:$20:Made primarily from button down shirts, each set of napkins will contain four unique pieces that complement each other perfectly. Say goodbye to wasteful paper products and hello to chic, zero-waste napkins.

The Coaster: $40Each set of coasters also comes in a set of four. Zero Waste Daniel constructed these using leftover seasonal novelty fabric. Each coaster is quilted and stuffed with leftover outerwear material.

The Pet Bed: Small: $60; Large: $80: The small sized pet bed is great for cats and small dogs, while the large pet bed can fit larger dogs, modeled by Fran’s beloved Husky/German Shepherd mix, Angel. Each bed is made of non-stretch denim and canvas to prevent wear & tear from your furry friend.

The Collector’s Coat: $600:Each coat is wholly unique and the best addition to your closet for the winter season ahead.Zero Waste Daniel used leftover pieces of fabric from the rest of the collection to artfully create these limited, custom coats.

The Fran-Inspired Looks: Skirts: $80; Vests: $110:thredUP’s Fran Fine-inspired looks were a collaborative effort between Zero Waste Daniel and Fran Drescher’s longtime stylist and costume designer of The Nanny, Brenda Cooper. With Ms. Cooper’s expert direction, Zero Waste Daniel created three new upcycled skirt and vest combos to help you get Fran’s iconic look!

The Sweatsuits: Sweaters: $120; Sweatpants: $120:Zero Waste Daniel utilized hundreds of damaged sweaters and turned them into ultra-cozy, like-new sweaters and sweatpants that make loungewear feel luxe.
