We’re all looking for ways to cut back on our energy use and it appears that a bargain buy could not only keep you warm this winter, but could save you a whopping £430 on your energy bills too.

Data from energy regulator Ofgem has revealed that 2,347,511 households were in electricity bill debt at the end of June 2022, and 1,858,585 were behind on their gas bills.

But members of the money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk have been raving about a product that keeps them toasty warm no matter how cold it gets in their house.

New data from the company behind it has now revealed that Brits can save up to £430 a year by using it instead of turning their heating on.

The hooded blanket range from luxury loungewear company Snuggy has proven to be a popular budget-friendly solution for those wanting to cut back on their energy consumption.

Many reality TV stars, including Towie’s Amber Turner and Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry are huge fans of the range.

Bargain hunters from LatestDeals.co.uk revealed why they’ve bought the product, with one woman saying: “I love mine” and another adding: “I wear mine a lot – I love it and it keeps you warm and snuggly on the cold nights”.

One person said: “I got one for my Nan’s birthday – she absolutely loves it, she said she’s only had to light the fire once this year”, whilst someone else chipped in: “I got my adult daughters one each and they practically live in them”.

Jack Griffiths, Co-Founder of Snuggy, told LatestDeals.co.uk: ‘The energy bill announcement led to a spike in sales for us.

“If we compare last September to this September we saw an increase of 220% in sales which is crazy.

“We started receiving a lot of reviews telling us that their full family are wearing Snuggy’s instead of putting their heating on to save on bills.

“We then conducted a survey with our customers based on the new energy price cap & found that wearing a Snuggy for just 3 hours a day instead of putting your heating on could save you over £430 a year!

“People are heating the human, not the home with our cosy products and as a result saving a lot of money.

“It’s an initial £30-60 outlay for an annual saving of over £430 – a pretty solid investment.

“With the ever-growing popularity of our products since we started, we decided to get the whole family involved.

“We brought out Snuggy’s for dogs & babies which are arguably now our best sellers.

“We also created a product called the Snuggy Pod. It’s a funky-looking bed tent that helps massively with sleep problems, sensory needs etc. It’s a cosy fun den for kids too!

“The fabrics we use on our products are 100% vegan and cruelty-free.

“We have a super soft flannel fleece layer on the outside, bonded with a really thick & luxury sherpa fleece on the inside.
